2022: Senior member of the 2022 Corban Volleyball squad that finished as the National Runner-Up in the NAIA, the highest team finish in program history. The Warriors finished with 33 wins, the most in a single season, while sweeping their way to an NAIA National Championship appearance… Named Honorable Mention All-Conference team member… Academic All-Conference team member… CSC Academic All-District student-athlete… NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete… One of three Warriors to appear in all 133 sets this season… tallied a team-high 592 digs to add to her school record that she broke in the fall of 2021… also earned 25 service aces and 145 assists in her emergency setter role… Completed the season ranked 40th nationally in digs, which placed her at 3rd in the CCC… Her 35 digs in the NAIA National Championship match ties her previous season-high mark from the 2018 season, which ranks third all-time for a single-game… On a single season basis, her 592 assists ranks third all-time, topping her previous single season mark of 570 from 2018… Finishes her Corban career with a staggering 2,481 career digs, setting the all-time program record at unreachable heights by jumping the next Warrior student-athlete by over 800 digs… She also finishes third all-time in career digs per set (4.31) and seventh in total service aces (131)…
2021: Junior member of the top sixteen finishing Warrior squad. Corban won the conference regular season and the conference tournament before heading to the NAIA Final Site for the sixth-straight time. The 2021 Warriors had the most wins in a season since 1999 (30) and the broke the Cascade Collegiate Conference record for wins in conference play with 20…recorded 435 digs in 116 sets played…was named defensive player of the week twice and was named to the All-Conference team once again.
2020-21: The Warriors turned in yet another impressive season, overcoming countless obstacles related to the COVID-19 pandemic… finished the 2021 spring campaign with a 14-5 overall record, going 10-4 in Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) competition. The Navy and Gold won its third-ever CCC Tournament Championship… the squad made an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament for the fifth-consecutive season, finishing among the top 16 squads in the country at the NAIA Final Site…was named to the All-Conference team.
2019: Uber-athletic sophomore libero who was part of the Warrior squad that reached the NAIA National Tournament… Picked up a team-leading 531 digs with just 18 receiving errors… Her 4.35 digs per set were good for the team lead… She accounted for 81 assists and 24 service aces, showing her versatility on the floor… She was named an All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention honoree…
2018: Standout rookie libero on the Warrior squad that reached the NAIA Final 16 for just the second time in program history… Ended the year with 570 digs, the fourth-highest single-season mark in Corban volleyball history… Racked up 35 digs against Eastern Oregon on October 26, tied for third-most all-time in a single game… Averaged 4.22 digs per set… Awarded All-CCC Honorable Mention accolades…
Personal: Coming to Corban from Pearl City, Hawaii, Ontai is set to become the third member of the Corban Warrior squad (joining teammates Cierra Leopoldino and Lauren Condon) to come from Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. During her time there, Ontai helped lead the decorated program to four region championships and a pair of state championships, while being named to the Division I All-Tournament State Team in 2017.
Ontai plans to major in Business Management while attending Corban.
