Personal: Van Weggen, hailing from Spanaway, Wash., figures to be a centerpeice for the Warriors in the squad’s inaugural season. Van Weggen started wrestling in high school during his freshman year at Spanaway Lake High School, where he was a two-time state placer and two-time Washington National Team member.

Van Weggen is majoring in biology at Corban.
