SALEM, Ore. – Junior Ian Logan (Aloha, Ore.) returned to mid-season form with a team-high 17 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field, but it was not enough as Corban's men's basketball team fell to the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Hustlin' Owls of Oregon Tech, 83-61, Saturday night inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

With the loss, Corban falls to 6-18 overall and 1-12 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Oregon Tech improves to 21-4 overall and a conference-leading 10-3 in league action.

Along with Logan, sophomore Erik Cronrath (Battle Ground, Wash.) and junior Nash Keene (Aumsville, Ore.) added 14 and 12 points respectively on a combined 7-for-18 shooting from the field. On the boards, Cronrath and freshman Jacob Kopra (Gresham, Ore.) pulled down a team-leading five rebounds each to go along with freshman Marcus Butler's (Patterson, Calif.) team-high three assists.

After battling to a two-point game (12-10) over the opening four-plus minutes of the contest thanks to a Cronrath lay-in, Corban watched as Oregon Tech used a 13-2 run en route to securing a 13-point lead (25-12) with 12:07 on the clock. The host Warriors would battle back to within four points (30-26) thanks to a 14-4 run that was capped by a Keene three-pointer with just under seven minutes left. Unfortunately for Corban that would be as close as the Warriors would get, as Oregon Tech used a half-closing 20-4 run en route to securing a 20-point lead (50-30) at intermission.

The final twenty minutes would open with a bang, as Cronrath stole the in-bounds pass and went coast-to-coast before finishing with a crowd-pleasing two-hand slam that pulled the Warriors within 18 points (50-32). Using the home team's own momentum, Oregon Tech used a 9-0 run following Cronrath's dunk that resulted in a game-high 27-point Owl lead (59-32) with 18:01 remaining. Corban could never get OIT's advantage under 20 points over the final 18-plus minutes, as the host Warriors settled for the 22-point difference (83-61) at the final buzzer.

Oregon Tech was led in scoring by Joseph Foster, who tallied 23 first-half points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field. Foster was aided scoring-wise by Myles Daley, who posted a 14-point performance to go along with Justin Parnell's 9-point, 7-rebound, and 6-assist all-around showing.

As a team, Corban shot 20-for-50 (40.0%) from the field to go along with a 2-for-9 (22.2%) performance from three-point distance and a 19-for-26 (73.1%) showing at the free throw line. On the other hand, Oregon Tech was 30-for-63 (47.6%) from the field that included a 19-for-32 (59.4%) shooting display in the first half. The Hustlin' Owls were also a combined 10-for-24 (41.7%) from long distance and 13-for-16 (81.3%) at the charity stripe.

Corban will return to the hardwood on Friday, February 5th, against the Cavaliers of Concordia beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Portland.
