In a match that saw struggles on both sides of the ball, Corban never held a lead for the duration of play. Concordia opened Set #1 with a flurry of Raluca Dinca kills, handing the Warriors a 17-11 deficit. Senior Teri Braun (Dallas, Ore.) responded to the challenge and answered with a kill, pulling the Warriors to within striking distance (21-15). Baskoro added to the effort with three kills in the opening set, but could not hold off a Cavalier victory (25-17).

Corban found small windows of opportunity in the final game of the night, but failed to capitalize. Braun's fourth and final kill chipped away at yet another Concordia surge, 8-4. Calderon brought Corban to within two points (10-8) after her kill fell to the floor, bringing the Warriors back into the match. Costly errors and Dinca's play at the net were to much for the Warriors, as Concorida exploded for a 14-4 run to end the game and match (25-16.)
