SALEM, Ore. – Four Warriors scored in double figures, as Corban's men's basketball team tallied a season-high point total in a 105-69 win over Capital City Classic-host Willamette to finish third Saturday inside the Cone Field House.

James Green. Three Warriors – Carter, Cronrath, and junior
Dustin Moore – handed out a game-high tying four assists, while Cronrath registered game-highs of two blocked shots and a pair of steals.
After tying the game at 3-3 on a three-pointer by Moore, Corban used a 35-7 run over a span of 10-plus minutes en route to grabbing a 28-point lead (38-10) on another Moore three-pointer with just over eight minutes left. The visiting Warriors would continue to hold a 20-plus point advantage, as Corban settled for a 25-point lead (57-32) at halftime.
In the second half, Corban quickly built its lead to over 30 points (77-45) on a free throw by Carter with 13:39 on the clock. Willamette could not get any closer than 25 points, as the Warriors concluded the game with a 36-point victory (105-69) for their largest win of the season so far.
Willamette was led offensively by Taylor Mounts with a game-high 23 points, while Josephy Jackson was the only other Bearcat in double figures with 11 points off the bench. On the boards, Mounts grabbed a team-high six rebounds to go along with three assists by Alex Hansen.
As a team, Corban combined to shoot 37-for-64 (57.8%) from the field to go along with a 15-for-28 (53.6%) showing from beyond the three-point line and a 16-for-21 (76.2%) performance at the free throw line. On the other hand, Willamette was 26-for-62 (41.9%) from the field, 7-for-21 (33.3%) from long distance, and 10-for-14 (71.4%) at the charity stripe.
With tonight's win, Corban improves to 5-4 overall and Willamette falls to 1-3 on the season. The Warriors will return to action on Friday, December 2nd, against the NAIA's No. 4-ranked Oregon Tech beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Klamath Falls.
NOTE: Both Carter and Cronrath were named as part of the five-player all-tournament team that included tournament MVP Blair Wheadon from Western Oregon, Western Oregon's James Gehring, and Montana Tech's Adam Greger.
