Over the next 12 minutes, both teams would trade leads with neither holding more than a six-point lead with Simpson earning a 83-77 cushion with 5:21 on the clock. The Warriors would see Simpson pull within a single point (29-28) thanks to a mini 4-0 run before Corban used a 14-5 run over a span of four minutes to secure a 10-point lead (43-33) on back-to-back free throws by Carter with just over four minutes left. In a 150-second stretch, Corban increased its lead to 17 points (52-35) on two free throws by Herzberg with 90 seconds remaining.
