GAME #1 — MONTANA-NORTHERN 3, CORBAN 0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-9)
In Friday's opener, Corban battled with the Skylights of Montana-Northern before seeing a high-powered offense along with untimely hitting in the third and final set resulting in a three-set loss.

The opening set would see Montana-Northern jump out to a four-point lead (16-12) before Corban used a 4-1 run to pull within a single point (17-16) on a MSUN service error. Unfortunately that would be as close as the Warriors would get, as the Skylights used a set-closing 8-6 run en route to securing the three-point victory (25-22).
Set #2 would be a dog-fight over the opening 19 combined points, as Montana-Northern held a slim one-point lead (10-9) following a kill by Bailey. MSUN would then use a 5-0 run to pull ahead by six points before Corban closed the gap thanks to a 12-8 run that knotted the set at 23-all on a combo block by Purnell and Wilcox. Both teams would trade a pair of points until things were tied at 25-25, as MSUN closed out the middle set by scoring the final two points on back-to-back kills by Kelsey Williams for the hard-fought 27-25 victory.
The third and final set would belong to Montana-Northern from the opening serve, as the Skylights jumped out to a 16-4 lead before cruising to a 25-9 victory and a three-set sweep.
Williams led all players with a match-high 15 kills, while Abby Nicholas and Erin Jensen added nine and eight kills, respectively. Joni Nagy handed out a match-high 33 assists, while Williams and Holly Cartwright tallied 12 digs each for MSUN.
GAME #2 – MONTANA TECH 3, CORBAN 0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-15)
In the finale on Friday, Corban could not overcome a pour hitting afternoon en route to falling in three straight sets to the Orediggers.
For the fourth straight match, Bailey led the Warriors' offensive attack with five kills to go along with a pair of four-kill showings by Shropshire and Purnell. Wilcox would added eight assists, while senior Bethany Durre chipped in with seven digs to go along with a four-block showing by Purnell.
The opening set would see both teams battle to a 5-5 tie before Montana Tech used a 16-9 run to pull ahead by seven points (21-14) before cruising to the eight-point win (25-17).
Set #2 would be the closest of the match, as Corban erased a six-point lead (12-6) via a 12-9 run to pull within three points (21-18) on a service ace by Meili. Unfortunately, the Warriors would not get any closer as Montana Tech scored four of the final six points en route to earning the five-point win (25-20).
The third and final set would see the Orediggers open up an 11-point lead (15-4) before Corban got back within seven points (20-13) thanks to a 9-4 run before Montana Tech closed out the match on a 5-2 run en route to earning the 25-15 victory and three-set sweep.
