PORTLAND, Ore. – No. 24-ranked Concordia University scored the final seven points in overtime to outlast Corban University, 77-73, in men's Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

Concordia's Adam Herman led all scorers with 30 points and sent the game to overtime in the closing seconds of regulation as the Cavaliers (19-6, 8-5 CCC) avoided the upset.

Freshman
Toby Roth paced the Warriors (6-17, 2-12 CCC) with 27 points. Roth was 7-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-6 beyond the arc. He made 9-of-10 from the line.

Jordan Carter and
Caleb Herzberg joined Roth in double figures scoring 15 and 11 points respectively.Â
Cyrus Ward pulled down 10 rebounds and
Josiah Sebens nabbed eight caroms.

Thomas Pierce and Anthony Holton also scored in double digits for Concordia. The Cavaliers shot 42 percent (28-67) from the field and made 19-of-26 from the line. The Warriors made 40 percent (19-48) from the field and delivered 25-for-29 from the line. Corban outshot Concordia from beyond the 3-point line 10-2, but was hampered by 17 turnovers.

After spotting the Cavaliers five points to start the game, the Warriors led by as many as 10 points in the first half before going to the locker room on top, 32-29. Corban did not make a field goal during the final nine minutes of regulation, scoring its last 16 points of the second half from the line. Herman's basket with two seconds left sent the contest to overtime, 66-66.

Corban looks to snap its 11-game losing streak on Friday when it entertains Eastern Oregon University in another conference tilt. Game time at C.E. Jeffers Sports Center is 7:30 pm.
