Warrior Women’s Soccer Falters against SOU in CCC Defeat

ASHLAND, Ore. – The Corban University women's soccer team gave up a goal midway through the first stanza and then early in the second half, and after that, the Warriors were never able to recover in a 5-0 defeat against Southern Oregon University on Friday afternoon.

"We struggled to get into a rhythm today," said Corban head coach Likius Hafeni. "SOU scored early and we were never able to get back into the game. It was a great learning experience and we look forward to our next game!"

SOU scored in the 21st minute when Kelsey Randall found the back of the net for the second time on the year. During the first 45 minutes, Corban was outshot by SOU, 9-3.

Megan McArthur scored again for the Raiders in the 49th minute just after the break, and after that, SOU tacked on three more scores in the next 20 minutes en route to the comfortable 5-0 triumph over Corban.

For the match, Corban was outshot, 18-5.

The Warriors return to action tomorrow when they face off against Oregon Tech. Kickoff in Klamath Falls is set for 4 p.m.
