SALEM, Ore. – The Corban University volleyball team has played at home seven times during the 2017 campaign, and in each home match, the Warriors have come away with a straight-set triumph, as on Saturday evening, the No. 12-ranked Warriors downed Warner Pacific College comfortably in three sets (25-11, 25-17, 25-11). The triumph gives Corban the season sweep of the Knights.

"We passed well as a team tonight, which set up for a great offensive threat at the net," said Corban head coach Kim McLain. "We continue to get better each match with our blocking and defense."
The Warriors used their second-most efficient attacking effort of the year, swinging at a .446 clip en route to the dominant win against the Knights.
Amber Parker was all over the court on the evening for Corban, racking up a match-high 15 kills to go along with nine digs. On her 15 kills, she had just one error on a .467 attacking mark. Also swinging well for Corban was Adriana Aguayo with 13 kills and a .455 hitting mark.
Madison Milligan and Cierra Leopoldino combined for 41 assists between the two, with Milligan notching 21 and Leopoldino 20.
Defensively, Haley Wells tallied 16 digs in the straight-set triumph, consistently making standout plays in the back row for the Navy and Gold. At the net, it was the combination of Demi Winters, Alaina Gentili, Marandah Boeder, and Bethany Filipenko that led the Warriors to a team total of nine blocks, with each player recording four block assists.
For Warner Pacific as a team, the Knights were held to just a .056 attacking mark as a team, with Janessa Mast totaling a team-high 12 kills. In addition, Kealia Rosa recorded 25 assists.
Corban (16-6, 11-2 CCC) returns to the court next week on the road when it travels north to take on The Evergreen State College on Friday and Northwest University on Saturday.
