SALEM, Ore. – Maci Bozett had herself a ballgame on Friday night, scoring 28 points en route to leading the Corban University women's basketball team to a 75-47 triumph over Multnomah University. The win gives the Warriors the season sweep of the Lions.

"We started strong tonight and were able to maintain throughout the game," said Corban head coach Michelle Skyles. "Our defense and rebounding was strong, and Maci was on fire in the second half and I couldn't be happier for her. It is senior weekend, and for her to shoot like she did was super cool."

After a strong first half that saw the Warriors in front by 17 at the break, Bozett came out firing in the third quarter, nailing back-to-back-to-back three-pointers en route to extending Corban's advantage to 25 points. She didn't stop there, finishing the third and fourth quarters strong en route to going 7-for-8 from downtown and 10-for-14 on the game for her career-best mark of 28 points.

On top of Bozett's standout performance, Jordan Woodvine was also efficient from the floor, scoring 15 points on a 5-for-7 shooting mark to go with a team-best seven boards. In addition, Shaelie Burgess finished in double-digits with 13 points and six rebounds as the Warriors shot 45.5% overall from the field as a team and 53.3% from beyond the arc.

For Multnomah, Faith Kraatz tallied a team-leading 15 points in the defeat, while Tiara Chinn recorded 10 points for the Lions.

As a team, Corban only committed 14 turnovers while dishing out 16 assists and nabbing nine steals.

Following the contest, Corban honored Multnomah's Ana Wakefield, a Lions' women's basketball player who suffered a serious injury earlier in the year due to a car crash. The Warriors and Lions prayed over Ana following the game.

"It was an amazing night for us to be able to honor Ana Wakefield and her family," said Skyles. "Thank you to all who donated and contributed to a great evening."

Corban (11-12, 7-9 CCC) returns to the court tomorrow night for Senior Night when the Warriors host Warner Pacific University. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m., and the senior ceremony will begin prior to tipoff.
