Corban Men’s Basketball Ready to Repeat History in CCC Tourney

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.  The Corban University men's basketball team did the unthinkable last year, running the table to win the 2016-17 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament and advance to the NAIA National Tournament. The Warriors will need to do the same again in the 2017-18 CCC Tournament in order to keep their season alive, this time as the No. 6 seed, beginning their quest down at No. 3-seeded Oregon Tech on Wednesday night.

Corban and Oregon Tech will tipoff on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in a quarterfinal game of the 2017-18 CCC Men's Basketball Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.

Corban is led by Joel Johnson down low who averages 14.7 ppg to go with 7.8 rpg. Chris Martin and AJ Monterossi both also score in double-digits, averaging nearly 13 ppg each. In addition, Caleb Dozier scores 8.7 ppg while also hauling in 7.6 boards. As a team, Corban is shooting 47.6% from the field and 36.8% from deep.

The Warriors will need to produce something special to keep their season alive. It all starts Wednesday night in Klamath Falls.
