"This was a hard-fought game," said head coach Mitch Freeman. "I thought Lewis & Clark did a great job of taking us out of any rhythm on the offensive end. It was nice to get some much-needed help from our bench. I was proud of the way we competed on the defensive end, holding them to a 36% mark from the field."

The Warriors finished the evening having shot 38.7% from the floor, however, their three-point shooting percentage was 41.7% in the contest. The Navy and Gold had three players with multiple three-pointers in the game, going 10-of-24 from distance as a unit. Elijah Welch (4-of-6), Tyler Wadleigh (3-of-5), and Mauricio Smith (2-of-2) all shot above 50% from beyond the arc.

Of Corban's 43 rebounds, Isiah Quintero was responsible for 18, while the next-closest Warrior was Beau Roggenbach with seven. Of Quintero's 18 rebounds, seven were of the offensive variety, allowing the Warriors to capitalize for six second-chance points.

Welch was Corban's leading scorer in the game, as he compiled a total of 14 points in the triumph. He went 4-for-8 in the matchup, all four of which were from downtown.

Wadleigh was another standout performer, as he picked up 13 points and played a strong defensive game, tallying a steal on the evening.

Interestingly, the Pioneers' shooting clips were nearly identical to the Warriors, as they shot 36.2% from the field and an improved 41.2% from three-point land. The difference in the matchup stemmed from a costly 22 turnovers from the Pioneers, which led to 20 points for the Warriors. Zeke Crawford was at the top of the box score for the Pioneers, as he tallied 13 points (6-of-13 FG) and 11 rebounds to lead the team in both categories.

The Warriors (5-1) will head over to face crosstown rival Willamette University on Saturday evening, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
