For Corban, this marks the sixth time in program history that the Warriors will be competing at the NAIA Championships (2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2019), and it is the first time since 2012 for the Warriors to be in the tournament. Corban's 24 wins mark the most wins for the program since the 2011-12 campaign – all of this despite losing two potential starters in the preseason to injury.

Corban's opponent, Tabor College (Kan.), enters as a No. 3 seed in Corban's portion of the bracket with a 28-3 overall record, winning the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) regular season and KCAC Tournament Championships. The Blue Jays have not lost in the 2019 calendar year, with their last loss coming on December 1 on the road at Friends University.

Tabor ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in scoring defense per game, allowing just 52.6 points per night. Offensively, the Blue Jays are very good as a team at the free-throw line, making 77.2% on the year overall. Morgan Ediger leads the way offensively with 12.3 points per game while Taylor Deniston is pouring in 10.3 points per game for Tabor. They are the only two Blue Jays in double-digits offensively.

Corban earned the Cascade Collegiate Conference's (CCC) second automatic berth to the national tournament thanks to advancing to the CCC Tournament Championship game and finishing runner-up to Eastern Oregon University. The Warriors are joined by EOU at nationals, along with Oregon Tech. EOU enters as a No. 3 seed, Corban as a No. 6 seed, and Oregon Tech as a No. 7 seed. All three teams are in different portions of the bracket.

On the year, Jordan Woodvine ranks 13th overall in the NAIA in scoring at 18.3 points per game, while Treasure Farmer ranks sixth overall in the NAIA and first in the CCC in assists per game (5.6/game). Woodvine now boasts a new single-season program record for points in a season with 604 on the year, surpassing a mark that stood since the 1995-96 season (Kelsie Piper). Woodvine ranks first overall in the CCC in total points. Moreover, Emily Yost is averaging 13.2 points per game to go with a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game.

Warrior head coach Bill Pilgeram, in his first year at the helm of the Navy and Gold, completely transformed a Warrior team that a year ago finished 13-15 overall, taking essentially the same squad to a second-place finish in the CCC with a now 24-9 overall record on the season. Corban is averaging 67.2 points per game offensively while giving up 62.1 points per game defensively.

For fans in Salem, a WATCH PARTY will be hosted on campus in the Riady Board Room in the Younger Center at 11:45am PST on March 7.
