SALEM, Ore. – Draining not one, but two buzzer-beating three-pointers on Friday night, the (RV) Corban University men's basketball won an absolute thriller over Southern Oregon University in double overtime, 94-92. The victory gives the Warriors the regular-season sweep of the Raiders.

"Unbelievable gutsy win for our guys tonight! Southern Oregon is a very tough, physical team that makes you earn everything," said Corban head coach Mitch Freeman. "We didn't play our best tonight, and credit SOU for some of that, but when we needed to make a shot or get a defensive stop, we had a guy step up including Tyler and AJ's big shots!"
Fast forward to six seconds remaining in regulation with SOU up by three points, Tyler Wadleigh received the inbounds pass and drove the length of the floor before nailing a running three-pointer at the buzzer to send it to overtime.
In the overtime stanza, the Warriors once again found themselves down by three points, but this time looked to AJ Hodges to save the day, and Hodges sank a fade-away long-range effort in front of Corban's bench just before time expired to send the marathon to a second overtime.
In the second overtime period, it was Hodges who once again proved as clutch as they come, as with 11 seconds remaining on the clock, he hit a step-back jumper to give the Warriors a two-point advantage. SOU then took a timeout, and after drawing up a good-looking play, Tristen Holmes saw his shot just rim out, and the Warriors came away with the win.
"Tyler ran the team and made big plays all night with 10 points and seven assists," said Freeman. "Beau Tilleman proved tonight why he is a major contributor for our team with 17 points and five rebounds, but impacted in so many ways that don't show up on the stat sheet!"

In addition, Joel Johnson notched 12 points and seven boards, Denis Kirichenko recorded 11 points and seven rebounds, while Wadleigh chipped in with 10 points and seven assists.
SOU (17-9, 7-8 CCC) was led by Teron Bradford with 22 points, while Tristen Holmes poured in 20 points for the Raiders. Jordan Hunt was big time down low in the defeat, totaling 15 points and 13 boards.
