CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Men's Basketball Preseason Poll was announced on Wednesday, with the Corban University men's basketball team picked to finish fourth in the conference in the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.

Corban is coming off a season in which it won the 2021 CCC Spring-Season Championship, topping the hyper-competitive conference ensemble in head coach Taylor Kelly's first year at the helm of the program.
College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College were the only two CCC squads to compete in the tradition 2020-21 NAIA men's basketball schedule, with LC State making it all the way to the NAIA National Championship game. Those two squads will be back in the fold this winter, marking LC State's first full season as a member of the CCC.
Somewhat surprisingly, Oregon Tech was picked to win the upcoming conference regimen, claiming five first-place votes. Right behind the Owls are the second-place Yotes—who received a pair of first-place votes themselves—and the third-ranked Warriors from Lewiston, who picked up four first-place nods.
Corban also collected a first-place vote, landing at No. 4 in the preseason poll. The Navy and Gold feels more than capable of making a run at the top of the CCC standings, coming off a 15-3 (10-2 CCC) campaign in 2020-21, and returning nearly all of the squad's roster from last season.
Couple that with one of the team's most dynamic and talented recruiting classes of the past decade—which features a pair of NCAA Division I transfers (Talin Lewis [University of Southern California] and Darius Henderson [University of Montana])—and excitement surrounding the team is high ahead of its season opener on October 29.
