CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office has announced the updated men's and women's basketball conference schedules for the 2020-21 campaign on Tuesday morning. Oregon Governor Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) have approved the conference's "Return to Play" plan for the spring season.

"Our schools are all finalizing their plans to access antigen testing, which will supplement the weekly PCR testing we have been doing with Santiam Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Sarah Comstock, Ph.D.," stated CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell. "Our goal is to have all of that in place to begin play in three weeks' time."

The new schedule will commence on March 19, and span eight weeks until May 1.

The Navy and Gold hoops squads will start their campaign on the road at Warner Pacific, playing games on back-to-back days in order to limit the amount of travel required during the season. 

Following the first matchups of the season, each Warrior squad will return home for the first games on the newly minted Tim Hills Court in the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, playing against Oregon Tech's Hustlin' Owls on March 26-27. 

The key difference between the men's and women's schedule is that Southern Oregon's women have opted out of the upcoming spring slate, while their men's team has opted into competition for the season. The Warriors are slated to host the Raiders April 16-17, for the last home competitions of the year at C.E. Jeffers.

Corban will then play their final two weekends away from home, against Eastern Oregon (April 23-24) and Multnomah (April 30-May 1). 

A welcome development for the Warriors, meaningful competition for each of the Navy and Gold basketball teams has been unattainable for the past year, as the last conference affiliated basketball game that Corban participated in occurred on a February 28, 2020 women's CCC Semifinal matchup against then Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Ore.
