Bos Introduces Corban Cross Country’s 2021 Recruiting Class

SALEM, Ore. – Corban University head men's and women's cross country coach Todd Bos revealed the teams' 2021 class of recruits on Tuesday.

The Warriors welcome Judah Koehler and Olivia McFall to the Corban women's cross country team.

Judah Koehler – 5'7" – North Lake HS – Christmas Valley, Ore.

The Christmas Valley native looks to add a high degree of athleticism to the Warriors this season after an outstanding high school career at North Lake High School. Koehler was a three-sport athlete competing in cross country, track and basketball during her tenure at NLHS. In 2021 Koehler was the Oregon State Champion in the 3,000-meter run, and holds all of the school records at North Lake for runs farther than 800 meters.

Koehler will study biology during her time at Corban.

Olivia McFall – 5'5" – Olympic HS – Poulsbo, Wash.

McFall comes to Corban after a successful career at Olympic High School. In her time there, she competed on the track (2017-2021), and the cross country course (2017-2021). McFall was named the cross country team MVP in 2018 and earned the Coaches Award in 2021.

McFall will major in English during her time at the university.

Joining Koehler and McFall as rookies, Forrest Cooley, Kaleb Floyd and Daniel Portugal have been added to the Warrior men's roster.

Forrest Cooley – 5'9" – Warrenton HS – Warrenton, Ore.

Cooley will join the Navy and Gold after participating in three sports during his high school years. Cooley was named the cross country MVP three years running while at Warrenton High School, where he also broke the 5K school record in 2020. In addition to his strong achievements on the course, he was a highly accomplished competitor in both basketball and track & field.

Cooley will join the Hoff School of Business at Corban.

Kaleb Floyd – 6'1" – Willamina HS – Willamina, Ore.

Another three-sport prep athlete, Floyd was blessed with outstanding basketball skills that led to him being named an All-League honoree in both his junior and senior seasons at Willamina High School. Floyd competed in track & field, and also saw success on the course as he and his team were the District Champions in 2021.

Floyd will study education at Corban, as he plans to teach high school history in the future.

Daniel Portugal – 5'8" – Willamina HS – Willamina, Ore.

Portugal will begin his Corban career after a strong four years of athletic achievement at Willamina High School. Both his basketball and cross country teams were district champions in the 2021 spring season, and he finished in the top 10 at the district cross country meet in the same year.

Portugal will look to major in business analytics during his time at Corban.
