SALEM, Ore. – The No. 7-ranked Corban University volleyball team extended its program-record winning streak to 13 matches on Saturday, sweeping the (RV) Oregon Tech Owls inside of the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center (25-18, 25-17, 27-25).

The majority of set one was closely contested, with Corban at one point holding just a two-point lead, 18-16. The Warriors then went on a crucial six-point run, propelling them to a 25-18 triumph in game one. That momentum continued into the second stanza, as the Navy and Gold cruised to another victory en route to a two-sets-to-none advantage.

The Owls jumped out to an early lead in set three, attempting to stay alive and force a fourth stanza. The visitors would be unable to hold onto their early advantage, however, as the Warriors stormed back to erase the deficit. The set came down to the wire, as the Owls at one point grappled their way to a set point, leading 25-24, but the Warriors rattled off three-consecutive points to extend their program-record win streak to 13 matches.

Rylee Troutman was the lone player on either side to reach double figures in kills, tallying 11 on a .179 attacking mark. Ally Tow (nine kills, .143 attack percentage) and Avari Ridgway (eight kills) were right behind her, while Cora Furman's effort on both sides of the net (six kills, .545 attack percentage, three block assists) proved invaluable in the triumph.

Ridgway and Kealani Ontai each notched 11 digs to tie for the game-high in the category, while Allyson Reid's five block assists also helped the Navy and Gold limit Oregon Tech to a minimal .054 team hitting percentage.

Jadyn Mullen led all performers with 20 assists, joined by fellow setter Ciarra Judson, who dished out 16 of her own.

With Saturday's victory, the Warriors end their challenging three-match week with a trio of victories, and will now return to the road for more Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) competition.

The next time Corban (13-0, 7-0 CCC) will be in action will be on Friday and Saturday of next week, traveling north to face Northwest University (September 24) and The Evergreen State College (September 25) on the road.
