EUGENE, Ore. – The Corban University women's basketball team was unable to contain a hot-shooting Bushnell University squad in a midweek Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) tilt on Tuesday evening. The Beacons rode a pair of 20-point efforts from star duo Morgan McKinney (21 points, six rebounds, six assists) and Bella Pedrojetti (20 points) to a 101-55 triumph.

The Beacon lead sat at just four at the end of the first quarter, but a 38-point second stanza helped the hometown team put the game out of reach early.

Aiding McKinney and Pedrojetti's strong performances, Libby Mathis contributed 19 points off the bench, part of five Beacons—McKinney, Pedrojetti, Mathis, Aly Mirabile (13 points), and Kalina Rojas (12 points)—to reach double figures.

As a team, Bushnell sunk an impressive 13 of its 26 attempts from downtown (50% 3PT).

For Corban, Holly Golenor finished just one board shy of a double-double, leading the team with 21 points and nine rebounds in the defeat.

Keila Tsutsui added nine points on an efficient 4-of-7 effort from the floor, and Madison Hodnett and Gemma LaVergne each tallied eight points and five boards on the night.

Corban (2-15, 1-9 CCC) will remain on the road for two more CCC bouts this weekend, traveling to Idaho and Washington for battles with Lewis-Clark State College (Friday) and Walla Walla University (Saturday). Tip-off with the squad from Lewiston is slated for 3 p.m., and the following night's contest with the Wolves is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
