No. 8 Corban Beach Volleyball Earns First Road Wins with DH Sweep of Bushnell

EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 8-ranked Corban University beach volleyball team showed no signs of discomfort in its first road duals of the 2022 campaign on Friday, sweeping a pair of contests against I-5 rival Bushnell University. The Warriors took the first dual at Amazon Park by a 3-2 tally, before claiming a 4-1 triumph in the latter contest.

"I'm so proud of this team as we continue to learn and grow," said head coach Diana Villalpando. "It was awesome to get our first road wins of the year. I'm eager to see if we can take what we learned today and apply it when we see Bushnell again tomorrow. All in all, I am continually impressed by the hard work and dedication of these young athletes."

In the first battle of the day, the hometown Beacons looked to make a statement in their first home dual in program history. Bushnell won its first two matches to put the Navy and Gold on the ropes, but the Warriors won the final three bouts to come from behind and earn a thrilling victory.
