PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The Corban University beach volleyball team split in pool play on the opening day of the NAIA Beach Invitational. Single elimination bracket play begins tomorrow morning.
Vanguard has been the No.1-ranked team throughout the 2022 season. The Warriors put up a good fight but were outlasted by the Lions in match one.

Webber International University has also been a top-five contender throughout the campaign. After beating the Warriors at the AVCA Small College Championships, the Navy and Gold were out for revenge and took the second match, 3-2.

The Warriors will begin bracket play tomorrow at noon (ET), challenging Ottawa (Ariz.)Â in a loser-out contest for a chance to battle Westcliff (Calif.) in the semi-final game at 4 p.m.
