CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2023-24 CCC Men's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll on Wednesday morning, where despite returning to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in over six years last season, the Corban University Men's Basketball program was designated for a seventh-place finish in this year's poll results.

"I'm thankful that the outcome of our season is dictated by the 40 minutes we are given every night that we suit up and by the practice we put in on the court every day," Warriors' head coach Taylor Kelly shared when asked to give his opinion on this year's preseason poll. "I love the group that we have and the way that they are preparing for this season. I'm sure they will be ready to prove that we are capable of much more than what is suggested by this poll."
The defending conference and national champion Yotes of The College of Idaho were chosen to defend their crown with every first-place vote and 144 total points, as they'll more than likely start the 2023-24 season as the national favorites after losing just a handful of players from last season. Eastern Oregon University (109) took home a second-place finish to just barely beat out Lewis-Clark State College and Oregon Tech, who found themselves in a tie for third place with 106 points apiece.
Southern Oregon University rounds out the top five in this year's poll with 93 voter points, followed by Bushnell University (92) and the Navy and Gold (89). Corban dropped two spots after losing the bulk of their starting lineup, yet the talented incoming transfer class and key bench players from last season look to rewrite the standings themselves.
The top eight teams and thus the preseason favorites to reach the 2023-24 CCC Tournament next February are concluded with the Knights of Warner Pacific University (62), which would mark the tenth-consecutive postseason appearance for the Portland squad if they're able to replace the senior depth they lost over the offseason. Their crosstown rival, Multnomah University (50), will have the opposite opportunity of returning a majority of their starters and upperclassmen but look to break a postseason drought this upcoming year.
Northwest University (39), The Evergreen State College (23), and Walla Walla University (23) conclude this year's conference coaches' poll results to round out yet another competitive season slate for all twelve programs in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Corban men's basketball will officially tip off their 2023-24 season this upcoming Saturday, October 21st at 4pm in a neutral site scrimmage with NCAA DII Saint Martin's University at Union High School in the Vancouver, Washington area.
