Porous Klamath Basin Weather Prompts Lady Owl Senior Day Win Over Warriors

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – An absolute downpour in the Klamath Basin on the Oregon Tech Lady Owls' Senior Day contest resulted in the Corban University Women's Soccer team's second loss of the weekend in southern Oregon, as the Warriors will return to the Mid-Willamette Valley following a 3-0 loss in their final road contest of 2025.

"Seventy minutes of today's game were very well-played and fought, but unfortunately we can't give up in crunch time and expect to win games," explained Corban head coach Brooke Alteneder. "We're going to learn to capitalize and keep moving forward as we take on one final weekend at home."

The Warriors' (5-10-0, 2-8-0) second-straight scoreless appearance didn't come without opportunities, as they secured four shots, two of which came on goal, and a handful of free kick looks inside the Lady Owls' (8-5-3, 4-4-2) defensive half and nearly tied the contest that remained 1-0 for all but the final ten minutes of play. OIT midfielder Kaelin Ness broke a scoreless draw at the 11-minute mark, and Tech added goals in the 80th (midfielder Naaliyah Robinson) and 84th (midfielder Maegan Cooper) minutes to secure the 3-0 Senior Day victory.

Redshirt junior defender Delaney Fiedler led the Navy and Gold in shots today with a pair against Oregon Tech, while sophomore forwards Maya Alston and Emma Franklin each took a shot against Tech goalkeeper Emma Beavin as well. Beavin concluded today's shutout win with a pair of saves, while Warriors' redshirt senior goalkeeper Catriona Burns swatted three saves out of the netting. Robinson was the game leader in shots as she took three against Corban's defensive unit. In addition to their three goals, OIT's midfielder Raeah Raymondo, defender Jaylee Curran, and defender Alejandra Salcedo were all credited with assists.

The final weekend of the 2025 regular season concludes next weekend at the Outdoor Athletic Complex for the Warriors, beginning on Halloween night when they host Rocky Mountain College (8-3-1, 6-2-1) at 4:30pm.
