Corban Men’s Cross Country Returns to National Poll Ahead of CCC Championship Race

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the fourth of four 2025 regular season Men's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Polls, where the Corban University Men's Cross Country team leapt back into the national scene following a one-poll hiatus, punching in at No. 20-overall alongside Carroll College as the Warriors finish last minute preparations for the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships that they will host later next week.

"The new poll is a tad surprising for us, but we will let it only further motivate us for the upcoming conference meet," stated Corban associate head coach Stuart Eagon. "It's awesome to see our women's program only just starting to receive votes as well, as they have worked hard and we knew both them and the men are much better than where they are currently ranked. The only thing that matters on the competitive side is where we finish at the conference and national meets, and we are very excited to kick off the conference meet next Friday!"

After dropping out of the top 25 following their meet results from the Charles Bowles Invitational, the Warriors redeemed themselves with a bounce-back performance in the George Oja Invitational at the same course they'll be vying for a conference championship on next Friday. Junior Jack Gladfelter broke his own program record for a second-straight meet in the men's 8k with a 23:49.7 final time to finish in third overall among the over 400 runners in the event. As a team, the Warriors finished with an average time of 24:49.6, which represents their lowest average in school history for a single men's 8k race by nearly 20 seconds.

On November 7th, the Navy and Gold will host the 2025 CCC Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at the Oak Knoll Golf Course where they will attempt to win their first ever conference title thanks to their "home field advantage" just 25 minutes from the foot of Corban's campus. The women's race is scheduled for 10am, while the men will begin at 11am.
