CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2025-26 Men's Wrestling Coaches' Preseason Poll earlier this morning, where the Corban University men's wrestling program was selected to a top five team finish in the projected final standings by the end of the CCC Championships hosted by the Warriors next February. The Navy and Gold finished third among all conference teams in the 2025 NAIA National Championships with an eighth-place national placement and will look to continue that moment into a difficult upcoming schedule.

"We're honored to be in the CCC, which is one of the deepest wrestling conferences in the country," Warriors' head coach Nolan Harris shared when asked to discuss this year's preseason poll results. "We're excited for the season to get underway and for head-to-head matchups to occur in order to have a more accurate understanding of this year's conference rankings. Surely, there will be a lot of shifting throughout the season as matchups occur and we compile more results. All in all, we're grateful to be in a conference that forces us to bring the best versions of ourselves each time we step on the mats, and we're looking forward to beginning our journey towards the NAIA National Tournament next March."
The Corban men's wrestling team posted a 10-4 overall record in 2024-25 with a 4-2 record against CCC members, setting program records for both single season wins (10) and winning percentage (.714) while scoring a program-best 153.0 points in a single tournament at the Mat 'Cat Invitational. They saw nine student-athletes qualify for the NAIA National Tournament either via automatic or at-large berths, with the first national champion in program history crowned in addition to three total All-American accolades.
Leading this year's CCC preseason poll standings is Southern Oregon University who finished directly below the Warriors in the NAIA national tournament placements, earning six of the eleven first place votes available and 111 total voter points. The University of Providence, who was the seventh-overall team at last year's national tournament just a half of a team point above Corban, is in second with three first place votes and 108 voter points.
One of the two final first place votes was earned by third-place Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (95) out of Prescott, Arizona, who was the surprise of the NAIA tourney last season after finishing sixth and representing the highest rated CCC program on the national stage. Following ERAU is Corban men's wrestling in fourth who tied at 77 voter points with Montana State University-Northern.
Arizona Christian University (71) was the recipient of the final first place vote in this year's CCC coaches' preseason poll and barely outpaced Eastern Oregon University (68) for the middle position in the standings. Following the Mountaineers is a steep drop off in voter points for the eighth place tied teams from Westcliff University (39) and Simpson University (39), with The Evergreen State College (25) and first-year member Hope International University (16) representing the final two spots.
The Warriors kick off their 2025-26 season on November 1st in La Grande for the Mountaineer Duals, hosted by EOU at Quinn Coliseum.
