Warrior Women’s Volleyball Secures Four CSC Academic All-District Honorees

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization announced the 2025 Women's Volleyball Academic All-District teams earlier this morning, where the Corban University Women's Volleyball team hit the maximum number of eligible recipients thanks to their incredibly high cumulative team GPA, which was top of the Warrior athletic department in 2024-25. Four more Navy and Gold student-athletes joined the dozens of Academic All-District award winners from the women's volleyball program, with seniors Makayla Roginski and Abby Guindy being joined by juniors Kaile'a Ontai and Emma Bischoff this fall term.

The CSC Academic All-America program is nominated and voted on by members of the CSC, which are the Sports Information Directors/Director of Athletic Communications from every NAIA institution. Each school's nominees must have met the following criteria to be eligible for the awards: at least sophomore standing both athletically and academically while having maintained at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA through their most recently completed semester. Additionally, women's volleyball student-athletes specifically must have either played in 90% of all scheduled counting contests for the 2025 fall season or started in 66% of all scheduled counting contests. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes.

Roginski, Guindy, and Bischoff are all repeat winners of the Academic All-District plaudit for the Corban women's volleyball program, with Roginski and Guindy each being selected for a third-consecutive season to conclude their collegiate careers. For Bischoff, this is her second-straight selection and third overall when also considering her beach volleyball success during spring semesters, while Ontai joins her older sister Kealani from the Ontai family to have earned Academic All-District honors during their time at Corban.

"Makayla, Abby, Emma, and Kai represent what it truly means to be student-athletes," Warriors' head coach Kim McLain shared. "Their hard work and discipline off the court are just as strong as their commitment and competitiveness on the court. They lead by example every day, showing that excellence in the classroom and in volleyball go hand in hand. I'm incredibly proud of this group and honored to coach them."

An NAIA-based selection committee consisting of members from the athletic communication departments across the country will now determine which of the All-District recipients will receive Academic All-American honors. Nominees for women's volleyball will be grouped together based on their primary positions played on the pitch for the scholarly All-American status with both athletic and academic success taken into consideration.
