When asked to discuss the first CCC All-Conference selection of her career, Warriors' head coach Kylie Frizell stated, "Lizzy is kind of like a Swiss Army knife in that she does so many different things for us, like shooting 40% from three to then have the ability to post up and be a threat from the block. I'm excited for her to continue to grow within our program."
Bennett, the Warriors' leading scorer throughout the 2024-25 campaign, finished within the top 30 of the conference's top scoring threats despite representing one of the team's top defensive and rebounding spearheads. Her 278 points and 28 blocked shots top the program this season, along with a top two three-point percentage (40%), top three field goal percentage (45.5%), and top three in assists (49).
On a conference basis, Bennett finished the year ranked in the top ten of two separate statistical categories, starting with her 40% success rate from distance which ranks sixth best in the CCC and trails only teammate and senior guard Gemma LaVergne in the category, where LaVergne finished third in the conference. From a defensive standpoint, Bennett blocked 28 shots across all 28 games played during the regular season to finished seventh in the category to represent one of only seven student-athletes across the conference to average over a blocked shot per game.
"I'm proud of our group to be recognized by the conference for the Sportsmanship Award," continued Coach Frizell. "We talk a lot about it's how we do things and why we do things over what we do on the court. We are process-oriented and want our core values of be a great teammate, tenacity, and trust to lead us in all the things we do. One of our team identities is to have Christ-like character, and I believe we achieved that this season."
The entire program was honored with the 2025 Team Sportsmanship Award after qualifying for the CCC Tournament as the No. 7-overall seed, representing the seventh-consecutive year that at least one Warrior varsity program has been voted to the honor across their fifteen CCC sponsored sports.
