KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Cross Country Top 25 Regular Season Coaches' Poll was announced earlier this morning, where the Corban University Men's Cross Country program retained their top ten national ranking with their second-consecutive No. 9-overall selection to tie their program record highest national ranking from the 2025 preseason poll released in late August.

"We're well in to the 'training season' with our top runners, but the 'racing season' is fast approaching," began Corban associate head coach Stuart Eagon when asked to discuss the most recent national poll and how it applies to his program. "Our top five guys have been in base fitness and are not race sharp yet, but by the time we approach the end of October I think we will be very ready for championship season at the CCC meet and at Nationals in Tallahassee. We are looking forward to getting in some harder efforts in October with our top guys in local races at Bush Park and Oak Knoll."
Since the preseason coaches' poll results were posted on August 21st, the Warriors have made appearances at the Lewis & Clark Opener and Ash Creek Collegiate races in Estacada and Monmouth, respectively, with Corban men's cross country representing the top NAIA program at both meets despite being represented solely by some key reserves and underclassmen who were competing in their first ever collegiate cross country competitions.
From a Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) perspective, the Navy and Gold are the top vote-receiving squad, as newly added Trinity Western University moved up to No. 11-overall, followed by No. 12-ranked College of Idaho, No. 19-ranked Southern Oregon University, and No. 25-ranked Lewis-Clark State College. Eastern Oregon University also received top 25 votes and the Mountaineers are ranked 28th based upon the remaining teams in the received-votes category.
The Corban men's cross country squad will next be in action on Saturday, October 4th at the Willamette Invitational, hosted by NCAA DIII Willamette University at Bush Park in the heart of Salem. Start times for both the men's and women's races have yet to be announced but will be made available on the Corban Warrior athletic department website once determined.
