No. 5 Yotes Fly to Home Blowout of Warrior Women’s Soccer

CALDWELL, Idaho – It was all Yotes today at Simplot Stadium, as the No. 5-ranked College of Idaho led a relentless offensive brigade to a 10-0 home victory over the Corban University Women's Soccer team, posting their third shutout of the season and holding the Warriors to just a single shot through the entire 90 minutes of regulation. This is the second-consecutive double-digit goal victory for the Yotes over the Navy and Gold, with their Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinal matchup from the 2024 fall ending in similar fashion.

"Overall, we needed to just perform better all-around the field today," Corban head coach Brooke Alteneder explained. "Effort and attitude make or break games, and we will fix those areas as we continue to improve and move forward."

The nationally ranked and reigning national semifinalist Yotes (6-1-0, 3-0-0) jumped on the scoreboard in the 12th minute of today's contest and never looked back in a ten-goal effort for the hometown team, as four different student-athletes secured braces for C of I, three of which came off the bench to record their two-goal appearances against the Warriors (3-4-0, 0-2-0).

The Navy and Gold saw their lone shot of the day taken by freshman forward Kate Dickson, which also resulted in a save by Yotes' goalkeeper Alivia Brenchley to preserve the shutout. C of I forward Abbi Roubidoux recorded eight shots to lead all players and the eventual game-winning goal en route to one of four braces for the Yotes, while forward Natasja Davis added another six shots. Corban redshirt senior goalkeeper Catriona Burns recorded eight saves in her first start between the posts since 2024.

Corban women's soccer will conclude their two-week road trip tomorrow afternoon in La Grande, as the Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon University (5-2-1, 2-0-0) will host the Warriors for a 4pm kickoff.
