Albrecht’s Career-High Scoring Night Powers No. 20 Warriors to Season Sweep of Knights

SALEM, Ore. – After a slow start in the opening quarter, the No. 20-ranked Corban University Women's Basketball team outscored Warner Pacific University by a 34-point margin over the remainder of their second and final matchup of the 2025-26 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) regular season series, completing an 87-42 runaway victory to sweep the Knights for a second-straight year. The Navy and Gold are now 29-9 against Warner Pac since 2008 and have won eight of the last nine matchups dating back to 2021-22.

"I truly love how much this team loves to play with one another and celebrate their successes, as we are a really balanced scoring team with anyone going off on any given night," Corban head coach Kylie Frizell boasted following another well-rounded effort by her program. "It's really rewarding as a coach to see your players get excited for the success of their teammates. Obviously, Jimmy had a career night and Jersey continues to play at such a high level and overall, I thought across the board we played very well."

Frizell continued with her analysis by stating, "I felt like we got off to a slow start in that first quarter, and in the timeout between periods we talked about what we needed to change, specifically on the defensive end, that made all the difference. That transitioned into being able to play our style of offense the way we like to. Tori made an incredible impact when she was on the floor from every aspect of the game, and I'm pleased to see Jimmy's confidence in shooting the ball shine through with her best collegiate scoring performance to date."

With an opportunity to sweep the Willamette Valley programs on the road for the first time since 2009, the Knights (9-10, 5-7) opened tonight's contest going shot-for-shot with the upbeat offensive playstyle of the Warriors (16-4, 9-3), leading on multiple occasions before Corban was able to regain a slight one-point edge entering the second quarter. From that point forward, it was all Navy and Gold on Tim Hills Court, as a 26-9 scoring edge before the halftime horn provided the Dubs with a 22-point lead, which they more than doubled over the second half and would lead by as many as 49 points late in the fourth period.

The third quarter belonged to redshirt junior guard Jenna Albrecht, as the Bend native lit up the scoreboard with 17 of her career-high 27 points coming in the third period alone, finishing the ten minutes of regulation 6-for-6 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the three-point arc. Behind her career night, the Warriors were able to cruise through the fourth to an 87-42 final against the Knights.

Defensively, Corban played as well as they have all season long in limiting open shots and preventing miscues, as they held Warner Pac to less than 27% from the field, including 20% from three-point range and forced 13 turnovers. The Knights' 42 team points are the lowest the Warriors have allowed in a single game all season long, with their 26.2% field goal percentage representing the second lowest mark of the year by an opponent.

Even despite Albrecht's offensive fireworks, redshirt sophomore guard Jersey Huerta, the CCC's leading scorer, continued her dominant season with another 18 points, four assists, four rebounds, and a pair of steals in 26 minutes played. Junior guard Tayla Yost added 11 points and six rebounds, while redshirt senior guard Tori Younker stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, eight boards, six assists, and three steals in just 19 minutes of on-court action.

Albrecht's career night came with an associated record book honor, as she joins the top three for most made three-point field goals in a single contest with her efforts tonight, tying her former teammate Gemma LaVergne with seven made triples. Her ten made field goals ties Huerta for the team lead in 2025-26, which are both the ninth most in a single game by a Warrior as well.

Warner Pac's lone double-digit scorer was represented by guard Kiki Brooks who only played nine minutes off the bench but finished 3-for-5 from the field with four of her team's six made free throw for ten points, two assists, and two rebounds. The Knights' starting lineup combined for 16 of their total 42 points with guard KJ Custer tallying six points and securing five rebounds.

The Navy and Gold hit the road next weekend for a brief CCC trip to Washington, where they'll begin in Olympia against The Evergreen State College (0-15, 0-12) on Friday in a 5:30pm tipoff matchup.
