SALEM, Ore. – A trio of NCAA programs made trips across the west coast and Pacific Ocean to participate in the 2026 Corban Invitational, yet the No. 2-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball program sent them all home with at least one loss following their 4-1 victory over DI Sacramento State University this morning before rolling to a 5-0 sweep of DII Chaminade University in their tourney finale.
"We played focused today and made quick adjustments that allowed us to come out on top of our matches," detailed Warriors' head coach Dan Stephens. "It was fun to see the improvements that we've made, and I'm looking forward to seeing even more growth as we continue through the season. This weekend was a good opportunity for us to prepare for conference play, and we took advantage of that opportunity."
The Warriors (6-1) picked up their fifth and sixth wins on the early season in dominant fashion, as four of their starting pairs went a perfect 2-0 today with only three sets lost all day long while winning 18 themselves. The most convincing win of the day came from redshirt junior Erin Scott and freshman Emily Blagg in the No. 4-overall pairing against the Silverswords, as they clinched 21-7 and 21-13 set scores to provide an early 1-0 match lead.
