Senior Emmi Marks and junior Emma Bischoff were selected to the award following a 3-0 weekend where they recorded wins over a pair of NCAA DI teams and an NCAA DII program and remain undefeated at 7-0 on the year.

"Emmi and Emma were definitely challenged this week with tough competition at the No. 1-pairing," Corban head coach Dan Stephens explained regarding his players' first weekly award of the year. "The DI and DII teams have size and power at the top pairs and the game gets fast. They both did great at making adjustments when needed and figuring out their opponents' weaknesses and taking advantage of them. This was a good test for them, and we'll continue to see them get tested at the top pairing and seeing them enhance their play even more."
The Dubs' top pairing was unstoppable this weekend against three NCAA programs, as they completed an unscathed 3-0 weekend after going 6-0 in sets played and led Corban to 4-1, 4-1, and 5-0 match scores against the University of Portland, Sacramento State University, and Chaminade University, respectively. Their most impressive result came against the Pilots' top returning pair in Leonie Freytag and Elin Larsson, securing a dominant 21-9 opening set before closing out the sweep by digging deep for a 26-24 extra-point set win.
Marks and Bischoff look to continue their undefeated streak this upcoming weekend on their home sand, as they're scheduled to host the first CCC regular season tournament of the season when they welcome Northwest University, No. 9-ranked College of Idaho, and Bushnell University to Salem. The Warriors and Eagles are set to clash on Friday at 2pm, while the nationally ranked matchups between Corban and C of I is scheduled for Saturday at noon.
