Eighteenth-Consecutive CCC Victory for No. 2 Corban Beach Volleyball as Warriors Quiet No. 9 Yotes

SALEM, Ore. – For a fourth time in their first nine matches to begin 2026, the No. 2-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball team met face-to-face with a nationally ranked opponent, this time in No. 9-ranked College of Idaho, where the Warriors dropped just a single pair in an otherwise dominant showing against the Yotes.

"We definitely got challenged today by C of I and it was good to come away with the win," explained Corban head coach Dan Stephens. "The match exposed some areas that we need to work on and there were parts of our game that showed good improvements. It's still early in the season, so being challenged is good for our development and we will definitely be getting challenged again on Tuesday against a much-improved Bushnell squad."

The Warriors (8-1) clinched their eighteenth-consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) victory after taking the first two pairs against C of I (2-2) in both exhibition and towards the match result, with sophomore Rebecca Wilber and junior Jordan Faircloth claiming the sixes before No. 2-overall pairing of sophomore Gabi Engels and redshirt sophomore Allyson Reid secured a comeback win over Yotes' Carolina Rubio and Sophia White.

However, College of Idaho punched back in the fours to avoid the sweep and even the match at one pair apiece after Kadence Jacobson and Emily Lettenmaier managed their own reverse sweep. Despite evening the match overall, the Yotes success would go no further, as the Warrior ones, threes, and fives all clinched straight-set sweeps to take the match four pairs to one.
