No. 4 Raiders Claim Lead in Conference Standings via Weekend Sweep of No. 2 Warriors

ASHLAND, Ore. – For the first time in Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) beach volleyball history, the No. 2-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball team lost a season series to a fellow conference member, as the No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University Raiders handed the Warriors a 4-1 dual loss for a second-straight day on their home courts, claiming the 2-1 series win. Should they win out, the Raiders will host the 2026 CCC Tournament in Ashland on April 9th and 10th.

"Southern Oregon is the better team this year and consistently showed it with their defensive efforts, as they made far less errors than we did both days this weekend," explained Warriors' head coach Dan Stephens. "We will work on developing so we can be ready for the conference finals."

Only the Warriors' (19-5, 12-2) top duo of senior Emmi Marks and junior Emma Bischoff emerged victorious today against the Raiders (13-2, 11-1) via a 21-11 and 21-16 revenge win over Tessa Zimmermann and Grace Gulbrandsen, as SOU utilized reverse sweeps at both the twos and fours to claim the conference dual. For a second-consecutive afternoon, Southern Oregon dropped opening sets and completed come-from-behind wins at multiple pairings to steal the results and stake their claim of the Pacific Northwest
