EUGENE, Ore. – It was quite literally all Warriors in the No. 2-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball team's back-to-back 5-0 dual sweeps over Simpson University, as the Dubs took every set in dominant fashion to remain undefeated in Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) play as they near the midway mark of league play.
"We wrapped up a good couple days of conference matches today with wins against Simpson," explained Warriors' head coach Dan Stephens earlier today. "I saw improvements in areas of the game that we have been practicing, and we will test those new skills next week at the DI level in Sacramento."
Not a single set was dropped by the Navy and Gold (13-1, 7-0) today at the Grace Beach Courts, as they completed their undefeated run through the Bushnell University CCC regular season tourney that included a 3-2 dual win over No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University, followed by today's 5-0 sweeps over the Red Hawks (0-10, 0-5).
With all five Corban pairs picking up two-set sweeps in both duals, the most impressive performance of the day came in the opener when the whole lineup held Simpson to under 15 points in every set played, including 21-9 and 21-8 convincing blowouts by the fifth pairing of redshirt junior Erin Scott and freshman Emily Blagg. The Warriors' top overall duo consisting senior Emmi Marks and junior Emma Bischoff recreated the same set scores in the second dual against Red Hawks' top pairing of Kimora McKechnie and Brooklyn Jimenez.

First, they'll clash with the University of Portland (3-3) on Friday, March 13th, with first serve time still to be determined.
