CCC Tournament Preview – No. 3 Warriors Vying for Back-to-Back Conference Tourney Titles

ASHLAND, Ore. – A second-consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament title is on the table this week for the No. 3-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball team, as the Navy and Gold are scheduled to kick off the 2026 CCC Tournament later this morning against the No. 3-seeded Yotes from The College of Idaho down the I-5 interstate in Ashland at the SOU Beach Volleyball Courts. The Warriors will battle in the tourney opener at 10am, with a potential winner's bracket matchup at 4pm or an elimination dual at 2pm depending on their outcome versus C of I.

Corban beach volleyball (20-5) enters the CCC postseason as the No. 2-seed in the 2026 championship tourney and leads the Pacific Northwest in total wins while three of their pairings top the leaderboards in total wins as well. Senior Emmi Marks and junior Emma Bischoff tower over the conference from the Warriors' top overall pairing with a 23-2 overall record and were 14-1 in CCC contests, while senior Alexis Adebodun and junior Cammie Masanda are 20-5 from the No. 3-pairing with support from the fourth flight by redshirt junior Erin Scott and freshman Emily Blagg at 18-4 overall.

Before the Navy and Gold can continue into the next round of the CCC tourney, an eleventh-consecutive win over C of I (7-8) will be required during the tournament's opening dual. The Warriors have never dropped a head-to-head matchup with the Yotes and are coming off their first ever 5-0 sweep against College of Idaho three weeks ago on the Yotes' Senior Day. Two of the three opponents in this tournament have never claimed a victory against Corban beach volleyball, with the No. 4-seed Beacons from Bushnell University sliding to 0-24 all-time against the Warriors in their regular season finale just last week.

If the Dubs want to clinch a second-straight tourney title, they'll have to avenge their only two losses in CCC play from this regular season that occurred on the sand they'll be playing in this weekend, as No. 2-ranked and top-seeded Southern Oregon University earned home court advantage in this tournament and will be the team bearing all the pressure that comes with hosting as the top seed entering the fold this week. In head-to-head matchups this season, the Warriors claimed the first dual via a 3-2 final score with sweeping wins at the ones, threes, and fours, while the twos and fives were dropped in three sets. The Raiders earned the head-to-head result with duplicate 4-1 wins in Ashland two weeks ago where six of the ten pairs went to a decisive third set. Corban emerged victorious in only one of those three sets affairs.

The winner of the 2026 CCC Championships will earn the conference's only automatic bid to the 2026 NAIA Beach Volleyball Invitational, which will held for the first time in Mesa, Arizona at the Arizona Athletic Grounds from April 23rd to 25th. The 2026 CCC All-Conference Team and individual award winners is set to be announced this upcoming Saturday, April 11th.
