Corban Women’s Soccer Slotted Eleventh in 2026 CCC Coaches Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2026 Women's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll earlier today, with the Corban University women's soccer program earning the No. 11 position among the conference's 13 member institutions. Entering a new, yet familiar, era under head coach Tim Kagey, the Warriors will look to build upon the program's rich tradition of success both on the field and off, with expectations to outperform their preseason projection as they prepare for the 2026 campaign.

"We're grateful for where we're at as a program entering the season and excited about where we're headed," detailed Kagey. "This group has embraced the work that's been asked of them, and I think there's a genuine belief in what we're building at Corban. Preseason rankings are outside of our control. What we can control is our preparation, our attitude, and how we compete every time we step on the field."

Corban earned 53 points in the poll, finishing just three points shy of the University of Providence and seven points behind Warner Pacific University. Despite the preseason ranking, the Warriors have consistently demonstrated the ability to compete with the conference's top programs and will look to return to the CCC Championship Tournament conversation later this fall.

The ranking follows a challenging 2025 season in which Corban finished with a 5-12 overall record and a 2-10 conference mark. Despite facing one of the toughest schedules in the conference and navigating a transitional year under a first-year coaching staff, the Warriors showcased flashes of promise throughout the campaign and gained valuable experience from an extremely youthful roster.

While the 2025 results fell short of the program's expectations, Corban remains one of the CCC's most historically consistent women's soccer programs. Prior to recent seasons, the Warriors compiled an impressive stretch of success that included 11-consecutive conference tournament appearances and several seasons ranked among the conference's top contenders. The program has long been recognized for its ability to develop talent and compete for postseason opportunities on an annual basis.

The Warriors return a blend of veteran experience and developing talent as they prepare for the 2026 campaign. Under the leadership Kagey, Corban will look to take significant strides forward this fall, building upon lessons learned from the 2025 season while reestablishing the program as a contender within the Cascade Collegiate Conference. With renewed energy surrounding the program and a roster eager to compete, the Navy and Gold enter the season motivated to outperform their preseason projection and climb the conference standings.

The 2026 poll is headed by the College of Idaho, which earned 164 points and nine first-place votes after another successful campaign in which they clinched a third-straight regular season crown. Eastern Oregon University followed closely in second with 150 points and one first-place selection, while Southern Oregon University rounded out the top three with 140 points and one first-place vote.

With the start of the fall season rapidly approaching, the Warriors will seek to embrace the underdog role and make significant strides within a conference that annually ranks among the most competitive in the NAIA.
