Corban Men’s Golf Wraps Up Bushnell Fall Dual Opener

MCKENZIE BRIDGE, Ore. – The Corban University Men's Golf team wrapped up its opening event of the 2026-27 campaign on Saturday at Tokatee Golf Club, finishing third in the Bushnell Fall Dual with a 36-hole team score of 37-over-par. After opening the tournament at 14-over on Friday, the Warriors posted a second-round score of 23-over to close the event at +37 overall, trailing Bushnell University (+15) and the Beacons' B-team (+29).

"We went into day two with great hopes of catching Bushnell, but we struggled out of the gate and couldn't quite make up the ground we needed," said head coach Charlie Marshall. "David and Isaac both played consistent golf throughout the day and gave us a chance to compete near the top of the leaderboard. There's a lot we can learn from this weekend, and we're excited to keep building as the season moves forward."

Corban was led by senior David Harvey, who climbed into a tie for second individually after firing a one-over-par 73 in Saturday's final round. Harvey finished the dual at four-over-par, just one stroke off medalist Luke Fenner of Bushnell. Sophomore Isaac Laro followed closely behind, tying for sixth place at six-over-par after carding a 76 during the final round. Freshman Rane Divers finished 14th overall at 14-over, while fellow freshmen Casyn Simmons and Colby Lerten shared 15th place at 15-over for the season opener.

The Warriors' B squad finished fourth in the team standings at 65-over-par through two rounds. Senior Owen Heath turned in the strongest performance for the group, tying for ninth overall at seven-over-par after a final-round 76. Sophomore Brendan Barbeau placed 19th at 17-over, redshirt freshman Cavan Visser finished 22nd at 20-over, redshirt senior Brock Nelson was 23rd at 21-over, and freshman Owen Deese concluded the event in 25th at 27-over. Competing as an individual, redshirt freshman Lucas Savage finished 26th at 41-over-par.

With the season-opening dual complete, Corban will return to action on September 7th and 8th when the Warriors travel to Klamath Falls to compete in the Oregon Tech Fall Invite at Running Y Ranch Resort in their first test against the remainder of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC).
