Corban Women's Volleyball Holds National Top-10 Standing in Latest NAIA Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) unveiled its latest Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll on Wednesday, with the Corban University women's volleyball team checking in at No. 6 in the nation. The Warriors slipped two positions from their previous No. 4 ranking after opening Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) play but remain firmly entrenched among the NAIA's national contenders with a 10-3 overall record.

"We're honored to be ranked within the top ten teams in the country," Corban head coach Kim McLain shared. We know that rankings are just a number, and we must continue to work hard and improve daily to progress. Our conference is a battle every single week, and we're looking forward to the challenge ahead as we host two top five teams this coming weekend. These matches will be a great test for our team and an opportunity to see where we are, compete at a high level, and continue to grow."

Corban continues to be one of the highest-ranked programs in both the CCC and the NAIA after navigating one of the nation's toughest early-season schedules. The Warriors opened the year with seven consecutive victories following their season-opening tournament slate, earning wins over nationally ranked opponents Concordia (Neb.), McPherson (Kan.), Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), and Viterbo (Wis.) along the way.

The latest rankings reflect a highly competitive national landscape as conference play begins across the country. Just five teams currently sit ahead of the Warriors, who remain one of five CCC institutions ranked in this week's national poll, joining Eastern Oregon (No. 1), College of Idaho (No. 4), Lewis-Clark State (No. 11), and Southern Oregon (No. 17). The conference's national presence further emphasizes the challenge awaiting the Warriors throughout the remainder of league competition.

The poll is headed by Eastern Oregon, which earned all 18 first-place votes after improving to 15-0 on the season. Concordia (Neb.) climbed to No. 2, while Northwestern (Iowa), College of Idaho, and McPherson (Kan.) rounded out the top five.
