Corban Women’s Golf Concludes OIT Fall Invitational in Ninth, Thomas Earns Top Twenty Finish

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Corban University Women's Golf team wrapped up competition at the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Running Y Ranch Resort, finishing ninth in a talented field that featured multiple nationally ranked programs. The Warriors carded a final-round team score of 365 (+77) to conclude the 36-hole event with a tournament total of 723 (+147). Junior Ashlyn Thomas led the way for the Navy and Gold throughout the tournament, earning a top-20 finish against several national scene competitors.

"Our ladies had another consistent day, just left far too many strokes out there," Corban head coach Charlie Marshall shared. "But again, I'm proud of how they managed the course a little better, even though the scores may not reflect it. Ashlyn had another good round today for her to highlight our weekend in Klamath."

Corban remained ninth in the final team standings after rounds of 358 and 365. No. 4-ranked University of British Columbia claimed the team championship with a two-round score of 579 (+3), while No. 16-ranked Lewis-Clark State College finished second at 596 (+20) and host Oregon Tech placed third at 600 (+24). The Warriors finished ahead of several individual competitors for other programs while gaining valuable experience against the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) field.

Thomas paced Corban with a two-round total of 163 (+19), placing 20th overall after following her opening-round 79 with an 84 on Tuesday. Junior Madelyn Moore finished 35th with a score of 176 (+32), while freshman Amanda Ramirez tied for 37th at 177 (+33) after matching Moore with a final-round 88. Junior Kaylee Umbright rounded out the Warrior scoring contingent in 51st place with a 207 (+63). Thomas' consistent play kept her among the tournament's top individuals from start to finish, highlighting the Warriors' performance in Klamath Falls.

The tournament's individual title was captured by Isabella Barquet of Lewis-Clark State, who finished at 143 (-1) and pared her final hole of the day to avoid the four-woman logjam at the runner-up position. Grace Yao, Sienna Harder, and Keira Hou of British Columbia, along with Inkjung Charnchanayothin of College of Idaho, tied for second at even-par 144 to round out the event's top five finishers.

Corban will return to action on September 19th and 20th when the Warriors remain in Salem for the 2026 Bearcat Invitational, hosted by NCAA DIII Willamette University at their home facility of Creekside Golf Club.
