Corban Athletics

2022: The Warrior ace tied for a team-low 1.85 ERA in the 2022 season…the right-hander made 13 starts for the Navy and Gold winning five…he tossed 82.2 innings and struckout 101 batters out of 309 faced…Named Mr. Corban (Top Male-Athlete) at the Golden Warrior Awards…

2021: Ace on the mound for the Warrior squad that appeared in the NAIA Opening Round for the first time in program history... Compiled one of the best seasons in program history en route to earning Cascade Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Year... Was also recognized as an Honorable Mention All-American at the NAIA level... Turned in a 1.15 ERA across 39 innings in conference play... Made 11 starts on the year... Was instrumental in the Warrior victory over Oregon Tech to clinch an opening day win at the CCC Tournament... Went 6.1 strong innings, allowing just 1 earned run while striking out 10... Also had 27 at-bats on the campaign... Homered twice and hit a .296 clip...

2020: Two-way player for the Warrior squad that had their 2020 season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic… At the plate, he knocked in three runs in 27 at-bats… On the mound, he appeared in four games out of the bullpen… Did not allow a single run to score in his four outings… Tallied 15 K’s in 15.1 innings pitched, good for a 8.80 K/9 ratio… Showed off a sub-one WHIP at 0.99…

2019: Outstanding two-way player for the Warrior squad that earned an appearance at the NAIA West tournament… At the plate, he hit .262 with two homers and eight runs batted in in 65 at-bats… On the mound, he appeared in 11 games, 10 of which were starts… Had a 3.17 ERA and struck out 48 in 59.2 innings…

Personal: Simon brings experience and athleticism on the mound and in the field to the Navy and Gold. Hailing from Las Vegas, Nev., Simon joins the Warriors after a successful career as a two-way player for Centennial HS. An All-State and All-Region pitcher, and an All-Region outfielder, Simon hopes to make an immediate in the Corban lineup and rotation.

Simon plans on majoring in business while at Corban.
