Regular Season Opener Gets Away from Warriors

LEWISTON, Idaho – Following a season-opening exhibition game against NCAA Division I member Washington, Corban's women's basketball team traveled east to take part in the two-day Staples Classic hosted by Lewis-Clark State College.

Unfortunately, the Warriors ran into the NAIA's No. 16-ranked and classic host Lewis-Clark State and were handed an 86-43 loss Friday evening at Lewiston High School. This weekend's Staples Classic is being played at the local high school due to the Frontier Conference volleyball tournament taking place inside the Activity Center on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.

Sophomore Becky Buhler led Corban's scoring with a team-high 13 points, while senior Monique Tribble added 12 points and a team-leading six rebounds.

Corban will return to the hardwood tomorrow – Saturday, November 14th – against fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference member Warner Pacific beginning at noon at Lewiston High School.
