SALEM, Ore. – With dry weather in the forecast beginning on Thursday, the Corban University softball team is set to host games on campus for the first time during the 2017 season this upcoming weekend at Warrior Field. Corban will now play No. 18-ranked Southern Oregon University on Saturday and Sunday in a pivotal Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) series.
Games have been moved to Saturday and Sunday to allow the field time to dry out on Thursday and Friday following the sustained wet weather during recent times in Salem. A CCC doubleheader will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, and then on Sunday, Corban and SOU will play a CCC contest at 12 p.m. and a non-conference game at 2 p.m. the same day to close out the four-game series.
SOU currently sits atop the CCC standings with only one loss during CCC play, while the Warriors are tied for second with three defeats in CCC action. Corban is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll.
