LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office recently announced the 2019 CCC Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll, with the Corban University softball team landing at No. 3 in the rankings.
Southern Oregon, who finished the 2018 season ranked No. 3 in the country after a postseason run to the NAIA National Tournament Final Site, finds itself atop the poll with eight first-place votes. Coming in at No. 2 is Oregon Tech, who finished the poll just one point higher than the Warriors. Corban is ranked third on the heels of yet another tremendous season in 2018, one which concluded with a second-straight appearance in the NAIA Opening Round.
All three CCC powerhouses competed in the NAIA National Tournament last year, with the battle for conference superiority set to be as fierce as ever in the upcoming spring campaign.
The remainder of the 2019 CCC Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll can be seen below.
The Warriors will look to once again leave their mark on the ever-competitive CCC in 2019, with the team's first action scheduled for February 1 in a doubleheader on the road against Simson University.
