Last season, only two teams were allowed to compete in the traditional season and the rest played in the spring.
Bushnell University was listed as the preseason favorite after a stellar spring season. The Beacons have taken the crown the past two years and will look to do so again. The Beacons (142 points) won the 2021 Spring Championship with an 11-2 overall and 9-1 conference record. Bushnell will return all but one starter.
Eastern Oregon University (127 points) sit in second in the poll, after a second-place finish in the previous spring season. The Mountaineers also lost just one starter, and will return 11 players to the squad.
Lewis-Clark State College was one of the two schools that was able to play in the traditional basketball season and received 114 points to take third in the poll. The Warriors earned the CCC's bid to NAIA nationals and upset Carroll College to advance to the final 16. They will not return their core group, but still look to fight for a place among the conference elite.
Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon come in at fourth and fifth in the poll, both returning the majority of their starters and All-CCC selections.
Corban was picked to finish sixth in the poll. Head coach Bill Pilgeram and company are confident they will contend at a high level this season, boasting a strong freshman class and returning a strong core group from last season including three All-Conference selections.
