SALEM, Ore. – It has been a historic season for the No. 8-ranked Corban University volleyball team, one that has already included the squad's most wins in a season since the turn of the century, a new program-record winning streak, a conference Regular-Season and Tournament Championship, and now a sixth-straight berth to the NAIA Tournament.
The Warriors are hungry for more, however, and the squad feels like it possesses the talent needed to make a deep run on the national stage. That journey will begin this Saturday inside of the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, when the Navy and Gold hosts Park University Gilbert (Ariz.) in the NAIA Opening Round at 7 p.m.

No. 8-ranked Corban initially earned its place in the NAIA Opening Round via the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Regular-Season Championship, but the Navy and Gold also claimed the CCC Tournament Title on Tim Hills Court this past weekend.
The Warriors are led offensively by the CCC Player of the Year Avari Ridgway and First-Team All-Conference honoree Rylee Troutman. Ridgway ranks 78th in the NAIA in kills-per-set (3.28), 68th in hitting percentage (.289), and 58th in the nation in points-per-set (3.9), while Troutman's 390 kills are the 36th-most in the NAIA, and her 469.5 points are the 23rd-most of any NAIA player. Additionally, Troutman ranks 10th in the country in service aces with 60 on the fall campaign.
Conference Coach of the Year Kim McLain's squad boasts the eighth-best team hitting percentage in the country at .266.
Libero Kealani Ontai (All-CCC Honorable Mention) will captain the defense, entering the national tournament with 3.69 digs-per-set. At the net, Second-Team All-CCC award-winner Allyson Reid—who ranks 11th in the NAIA in block assists (108), 24th in the NAIA in total blocks (120), and 21st in the NAIA in blocks-per-set (1.18)—has played an integral role for a Warrior squad that sits at No. 16 in the NAIA in block assists as a unit (377).
Honorable-Mention All-Conference setter Jadyn Mullen will pair up with Ciarra Judson to facilitate the offense this Saturday. Mullen enters the opening round with 6.23 assists-per-set, while Judson has averaged 4.39 this fall.
The Warriors currently boast a 28-2 record, serving as the most for the program in a single season since the turn of the century.
Meanwhile, Park enters this weekend's competition with an 18-6 overall record, booking its first-ever NAIA Tournament bid via the Cal-Pac Regular-Season Conference Championship.
Amanda Jonovich is the Buccaneers' primary offensive weapon, leading the team in both kills (313) and kills-per-set (3.5). Miranda Bacon (2.8 K/Set, .276 attack percentage) and Elizabeth Clemit (1.8 K/Set, .297 attack percentage) have also been consistent contributors throughout the squad's historic run.
Hattie Patton (2.8 D/Set) will don the opposite-colored jersey for the visitors, leading the Buccaneer defense. Park head coach Clay Webb also employs a two-setter system, which is comprised of Annika Wallace (4.9 A/Set) and Melissa Blockey (4.7 A/Set).
These two teams have never come across each other in regular-season or postseason play, meaning Saturday's matchup will mark new territory for both programs.
The winner of this weekend's battle will advance to the NAIA Final Site on November 30-December 4 in Sioux City, Iowa, where the top-24 teams in the nation will battle it out for NAIA supremacy.
