The Bearcats clawed their way back into the contest, and the score was as close as 40-39 in favor of Corban with two minutes left to play in the first half, but the Warriors closed the period on a pivotal 8-2 run—propelled by relentless defensive pressure and buckets in transition—to take a 48-41 lead into the locker room at the midway mark.
The Warriors were in the driver's seat from thereon out, maintaining the advantage for the remainder of the contest.
Once again, the Navy and Gold shot above the 50 percent plateau from the field, ending the night with a 51.4% clip from the floor as a team.
Taylor Anderson led the charge for the Warriors offensively, scoring 20 points (four assists) in reserve to provide a spark off the bench. Kendall Moore dropped 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while Psalm Maduakor (12 points, eight rebounds) and Denis Kirichenko (10 points, six rebounds) each reached double figures, as well.
Corban (2-0) will be back in action on November 12-13 at the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge Classic, hosted by Lewis-Clark State College. The Warriors will match up with Montana Western on Friday, November 12, and University of Providence on the following day.
