CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced on Monday that Corban University soccer standouts Justin Keegan (Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week) and Juliana Pires (Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week) have earned CCC Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Player of the Week honors.
Keegan, a 2019 All-Conference honoree, hasn't allowed a goal through Corban men soccer's first five games. He turned in two more clean sheets over the past two contests, extending his season-opening scoreless streak to 360 minutes and tallying four saves between the two victories.
Pires has had a dominant introduction to her Navy and Gold career, scoring five goals in the squad's past two games. She netted a hat trick (and an assist) in Corban's 7-0 rout of Bushnell University on Monday, before her brace lifted the Warriors to a crucial 3-2 win in the squad's home opener against Oregon Tech on Sunday.
Both Navy and Gold teams are off to hot starts in conference play, winning each of their first three CCC battles.
