Guindy Earns Second Team All-Conference Honors for Corban Men’s Soccer

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office has unveiled the 2025 Men's Soccer All-Conference teams and individual award winners, where the Corban University Men's Soccer team was represented by sophomore defender/forward Alexander Guindy who continues to power the Navy and Gold as a versatile two-way player that can simultaneously shutout opposing offenses while creating and scoring goals for the Warriors as well.

"It's great to see Zander recognized by our conference," Corban head coach Tim Kagey shared regarding his second-year captain. "He is such a great representation of our program and we're excited to see him acknowledged for his efforts."

The Warriors' leader in game-winning goals during 2025 had a breakout season swapping between offensive and defensive priorities, as Guindy scored three goals and assisted on two more across all 17 games for Corban men's soccer, representing one of two student-athletes to start in every contest this year. The Warriors accumulated four wins this season, half of which came due to the heroics of Guindy, as he netted the game-winners in a 2-0 victory over Lewis & Clark College and 5-3 win against Walla Walla University. He led the team in both total shots (32) and shots on goal (14) during the 2025 campaign and was second in shot on goal percentage (.438) among qualifying players.

Defensively, Guindy was a staple in keeping opposing offenses at bay, as he rotated from the center back to outside back positions on a nearly daily occurrence for Kagey and the Warriors, racking up 1,405 total minutes of field time, which was good for third most on the team this season behind only senior goalkeeper Isaac Pureco and senior midfielder Santiago Castano. Corban's 2025 scheduled opponents continuously avoided Guindy's portion of the defensive front to find scoring opportunities, unwilling to test the second-year San Jose, California native.

Guindy will lead the Warriors into the 2026 fall season as the lone returning captain and most experienced starting member of Kagey's lineup that will anticipate both a large returning core and incoming recruiting class.
